Finally! We have successfully completed the negotiations with our new investors, and we plan to launch the Kickstarter this month! In the meantime, take a look at our brand-new gameplay video! Talking to investors

In the week following our previous update and gameplay video, we have been contacted by several investors. During our talks, we have always kept in mind the interest of the game and its players. We want to deliver an awesome RPG with as much content as possible, while keeping our creative freedom and majority control over the full project.

Negotiations are on the right track, which means we are going to secure considerable additional funds for the development. This means that more content will be added to the game without affecting any goals of the the Kickstarter campaign. As a result, Kickstarter backers will get a better, bigger game for the same pledge.

Since negotiations take time, the Kickstarter launch has been postponed again. We had to decide whether we make the Kickstarter in these days as promised, or we focus on investor relations and ask your patience again. The conclusion was that the latter option serves better the long-term interest of the project. This will allow us to release a game that includes all the content we originally imagined.

We will inform you as soon as we have an update!

Gameplay video with battle and magic

It has been awhile since the website has been updated, as we were busy with development (completing key parts of the game engine, upgrading our graphics quality and adding a considerable amount of base content).

With those obstacles conquered, our focus now shifts to the challenges of a Kickstarter campaign. As we are perfectionists (and believers that the genre of classic-style isometric RPGs deserves maximum effort), we are going to do this right. The Kickstarter campaign will be launched in the next month or two. We are taking this time to finalize a video that presents as many features as possible from Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness.

Final pre-Kickstarter campaign in Q1 2016

You might be wondering why there is still no date for the crowdfunding campaign. Are we experiencing difficulties? No, it's quite the opposite: the development of Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness is more active than ever. Since your support will be absolutely essential for this indie project, we want to show you as much as we can in the Kickstarter campaign. (For example, we just finished the implementation of spellcasting fundamentals.)

In the beginning of the next year, we will launch the final pre-Kickstarter campaign, which will offer brand-new gameplay videos and an updated website. In the meantime, development is funded by our seed investors from the USA and Austria (thank you, guys!). Therefore, the release of the full game will not be delayed just because we launch the Kickstarter campaign later.

Voice acting and other improvements

Voice acting is in progress for several characters. As for the game engine, we are implementing ranged attack with bows and slings. (Beware of the nasty dwarf in our upcoming gameplay video!) We will publish the Kickstarter launch date as soon as possible. In the meantime, please spread the word about the project!

Testing party movement and new areas

Members of your adventurer party are now able to walk together. We have been debugging party movement and combat system basics. In the meantime, a brand-new area has been finished: a unique tavern you haven't seen in any other RPG. This area will be present in our Kickstarter campaign video as well.

Fruits of summer: characters and tavern music

We have finished several models for Dwarf, Feldegug, and Human. Current weapon base models include a powerful staff, mace, longsword, dagger, and a short bow with arrows. Our music composer is busy as well: beautiful tavern and battle songs are coming soon!
